Qualify for your MN Permit to Carry and enhance your personal defense skills and knowledge with the Fundamentals of Concealed Carry-Hybrid Course. You get your Permit to Carry class online and an Intro to Defensive Handgun Shooting class.

Permit to Carry Class (Online)

This online course contains all the basic information you will need to prepare you to attend the Intro to Defensive Handguns portion of the Fundamental of Concealed Carry-Hybrid Course and receive your certificate of completion. Firearms Safety, MN Laws, and basic handgun knowledge.

You will need to have a 100% course completion status and score 80% (12/15) on the test or better to attend the classroom ad range portion of the class.

Upon successful completion of the online carry course you will be emailed a voucher with your name on it stating you have completed the online portion of the class. This voucher will allow you to attend the Intro to Defensive Handguns class.

 

Intro to Defensive Handgun Shooting

This class is going to cover the basic aspects of carrying a defensive handgun. ***See pre-requisites below***

We will have a 1 hour lunch break. Classroom is at Dreams Come True Dance in Cohasset. Class starts at 900 and runs until 1700 (5:00pm).

- Firearms selection

Required Kit:

- Eye Protection

- Ear protection (electronic preferred)

- Baseball style hat

- Range food / WATER

- Seasonal weather gear / rain gear (class will only be rescheduled for severe weather ie., lightning, high winds, heavy rain)

- Production Handgun, preferably 10 round capacity or higher

- Single stacks are fine, just need to increase magazine count to 8 minimum

- Holster

- 4 high capacity magazines MINIMUM

- 100 rounds of factory ammunition

- Cleaning kit / lubrication (just in case you have malfunctions due to cleanliness)

** Holsters MUST be capable of holstering without use of the support hand. Old leather pancake style or inside the waistband holsters that do not retain their opening when the handgun is removed are NOT permitted.

** Shoulder rigs ARE NOT permitted ** ** SERPA holsters ARE NOT permitted **
